Yates wins Manager of the Month award

Yates wins Manager of the Month award

Solihull Moors manager Mark Yates has been named as the Vanarama National League Manager of the Month for January.

It's been a fantastic month for the Moors, having remained unbeaten throughout, winning three games and drawing one, which came away at table-toppers Macclesfield Town.

The results have seen Solihull now sit only a point away from safety, a situation that seemed very unlikely when Yates took over in November.

Yates spoke to the club's official website about the award and gave plaudits to his management team for their part in helping the Moors to a very successful month of football.

'This award is for the whole management team off the pitch and the playing squad on it.

'Given the size of the problem we inherited, January's results have been rewarding but overall, we have achieved little yet. We have seen some big changes, but we have a long way to go.

'Hopefully at the end of the season we can all celebrate together.'
